Home Sweet Home

This week’s edition of the Sunday Brunch:

HOME SWEET HOME

1. How many people and pets live in your home? Two people and one pet (a fish).

2. Do you rent, own or live at home? Rent.

3. How many rooms are in your house? Either 3 or 4 depending on if the kitchen is considered a different room than the living/dining room as it’s kind of connected.

4. Is there enough room in your house to comfortably accommodate overnight guests? If they don’t mind sleeping on an air mattress on the living room floor, then yes.

5. How close do your neighbors live? Do you know them well and are they welcome in your home? We’re surrounded by our neighbors, living in an apartment building. I don’t know much about them and I’d like to keep it that way. Some I wish would move.

Snapfish

Whenever I want a print of one of my digital photos, I order from Shutterfly. But after discovering Snapfish, I think I’ll only continue using Shutterfly until my pre-paid prints run out. Snapfish has significantly better prices per photo than Shutterfly, not to mention the fact that their shipping costs are lower. And even better yet, they offer matte finish on their photos whereas Shutterfly does not. I ordered some prints from both places last week and they were delivered yesterday. When I did a comparison (I ordered a few identical shots), I didn’t see any difference in quality from the Kodak paper (Snapfish) vs the Fugi one (Shutterfly). I preferred the matte finish, however, but then again, I always have.

Froogle

For those of you who have been living under a rock, as I apparently have been, I introduce to you, Froogle, the perfect way to find products being sold on the internet for the lowest price available. I wish I had known about this site sooner!

Wipeout Fusion

I rented Wipeout Fusion for the PS2 and it rocks! The music is awesome too, but I’m not surprised – I own all three Wipeout games for the PS1 and the high-energy music on them has never disappointed me. The main difference between Fusion and the other Wipeouts are the improved graphics. But my favorite thing about the PS2 is the feedback you get on the controller. Whenever I hit a wall or was attacked by enemies, the controller would vibrate in my hands. I love it! I told Joe that the game could be an idea of what to get me for xmas, our anniversary, or my birthday. Take your pick. They’re all within the next five weeks. :)

Good Times

It’s been a good weekend thus far, and we’ve still got two more full days off before it’s back to the grind.

We spent Thanksgiving with my family until 6:30 pm when we left to pick up the kids. Yesterday we went to the Spaghetti Warehouse for lunch. We’ve never been there before and I must say I was impressed with the place. I’m not big on Italian food by any means, but their food is good and the prices are very reasonable. The kids meals are only $3.49 and come with a huge bowl of soup, a large-sized entree, drink and dessert. I was surprised by how much food the kids got. We took advantage of the lunch menu and got toasted ravioli for an appetizer as well. Our bill only came to $25 for the four of us. Not bad at all. I highly recommend the place.
