We had our first solicitor today. Joe spotted him from upstairs and yelled to me to not answer the door right before the doorbell rang. I found it amusing that I was sitting at my computer, which you can see from the door if you’re looking through the narrow window, completely ignoring the guy standing right there. I really hate answering the door, especially for pests. It’s just as irritating as telemarketers. If I want to buy something, or sign up for your service, I will find you. Do not come to my home, or call my home, and expect me to treat you with any respect because to me it’s an invasion of my rights.

SNL & Mr. Fallon
More often than not, I have to question why SNL is still on the air. Is it just me, or are the majority of the skits lame? They rarely even get a chuckle out of me. I miss a lot of the older cast members who have moved on to (hopefully) bigger and better things. Did you catch the Best of Jimmy Fallon episode a few weeks ago? Now that was funny, even without the “company computer guy” sketch which I always loved so much. I like Jimmy Fallon … he does dead-on impressions and is generally amusing to watch. That being said, I’m not so sure he’ll make it as a movie actor, because I think stand-up and sketch comedy are more his forte. But I could be wrong. It’s been known to happen.

As you can see, we still need to add mouldings to the walls in the kids’ rooms. We also need to get a desk in the boy’s room, which is why the chair is just sitting there. Oh, and the reason their beds are bare is that we’re going to let them pick out their bedding when they see the place for the first time next weekend. I can’t wait to see their reaction!
Once we finish our bedroom, the dining room, and the living room, I’ll post photos of those as well. Don’t expect that until sometime next month.
Hold the guac, por favor
For lunch today, we tried out On The Border. The food was actually really good. I ordered the Border Chimichanga with ground beef, and Joe got the Superior Dinner. We tried each other’s food, and my favorite was the chicken enchilada with sour cream sauce. Speaking of, can you believe they charge 75¢ for a cup of sour cream? What a rip! You can bet your sweet ass I took the leftover sour cream home in a doggy bag. Oh yes I did. Their guacamole was nothing to write home about, but I think we’ll go back there again, just not anytime soon. We have been eating so poorly lately. I gained 5 lbs., but I’m confident I’ll lose it, plus some, once I get back into working out soon. All this food talk is making me hungry, though. I haven’t eaten since noon!
