How come there aren’t any good sitcoms based in Chicago? Every last one is a flop. I was so excited when Freddie first aired because I (thought I) liked Freddie Prinz Jr. But they didn’t do the city justice and the characters are lame.

So now there’s The Loop. You know how you can watch one episode and know the show is going to suck? Yea, that would be this show. First off, why that title? Just because the main character is a corporate drone? They focus more on the airport which is no where near the Loop. While I like the quirky characters (the main guy reminds me of Nick Swardson), it’s just not enough. I hate Mimi Rogers’ character in particular. The show is just goofy but not in an entertaining way like Scrubs. The best part of the show is the awesome shots of Chicago’s skyline. I think it will die a quick death, or at least I hope it does. Then again, I think Freddie is still on the air. :p

My brother and I have been saying that Chicago also needs a good disaster movie as well. Every disaster flick out there centers on NYC or LA, never Chicago. Just because we’re only the third-largest city in the USA doesn’t mean we wouldn’t serve as a spectacular site for disasters. C’mon!
