We were going to see a movie today but just didn’t feel like sitting inside the theatre. Instead we spent a good two hours between Michael’s and Jo-Ann Fabrics looking at beads and beading tools. I have the best husband because he didn’t once make me feel like I was taking too long. In fact, he decided he wants me to make him a few necklaces so he was busy picking out beads too. Here’s what $50 will buy you. Not included is a bead board I got on sale for only $3. Not too shabby. Joe’s going to be my guinea pig since so far all I’ve made is a bracelet which I haven’t even finished yet. I think this whole beading thing might be a hobby I can really get into and I’m excited about that.

I used to do some beading years ago. I have some really beautiful traditional glass beads from all over the world, and I mostly made necklaces and then wore them a few times and tore them up and made new ones. After reading about you getting into beads, I will have to go back through my collection and see if I feel like making up something new with them. Thanks for sharing!
