After this weekend’s completely unfunny episode of SNL, I’ve reached my breaking point. I’ve deleted the show from my the DVR series priority list and I’m not watching it again. It’s just horrible! MadTV is a billion times better even when it isn’t that good. The only thing SNL has going for it is the celebrity hosts, and that’s no longer that appealing when the writing is so awful. And here I thought Tina Fey was behind the shitty writing. Color me wrong.
SNL is so pathetic that even the normally funny Dane Cook sucked terribly last week, yet they are re-airing it this Saturday. WTF? His monologue wasn’t nearly as entertaining as the last time he hosted, although that’s his fault since he wrote the material, but the skits were downright painful as well. There are far too many political skits for my taste and weekend update is boring as all hell. Seriously, they should just cancel it already instead of dragging it through the mud. I don’t know why I’ve continued to watch it week after week when I rarely laugh anymore, but I’m done now.

I gave up on SNL years ago. Like when Dennis Miller and Dana Carvey left. I don’t regret the decision.
My husband still records it, I usually sleep through it. I can’t remember the last time it made me laugh.
