Joey doesn’t feel good

We didn’t end up going shopping today because Joe seems to be coming down with the flu. I hate seeing him like this. He rarely gets sick except this year for some reason. At least three times now he’s felt a little under the weather but it only lasted a day or two. This time he seems worse. I am making him go to the doctor tomorrow since his throat is really hurting. If it’s strep or the flu she should be able to help make him feel better faster.

I can’t help but think this is related to the stress of him not knowing whether he was going to have a job come January 1st. Now that he’s found a new job and able to relax, his immune system is taking a beating after being on edge for so long.

On the flip side of things, my bottom left eyelid had been twitching from August until just recently. I think it was the stress of Joe’s possible unemployment too since it went away shortly after he got notice of his new job. Either that or a strange coincidence. I just can’t believe it lasted that long! Even my eye doctor couldn’t understand why it hadn’t gone away after a month. I sure hope it doesn’t return again but I’m willing to bet it will.

I can’t believe I did absolutely nothing all day, unless you count making meals and doing a little laundry. I slept until 10 am and watched tv most of the day. I also got caught up on my blog reading. Why is it that I’m the only person who updates and reads blogs more on the weekends than during the week? I guess you guys all have time to surf at work but I don’t so during the week my feed reader gets clogged and then on the weekends it’s practically empty. It’s like I live in opposite world from the rest of you.

I ordered 4GB of RAM for my new computer too (it only comes with 1 GB). I found it for only $80 at Outpost.com. Not bad, eh? My machine is going to be blazing fast. I am so psyched!

Unless Joe miraculously feels better tomorrow morning, it will be another day inside. Good thing my friend just gave me a backlog of People magazine dating back to September 17th.

  1. I update my blog and read blogs on the weekend just as much as I do during the week. But I agree with you, everyone else seems to disappear over the weekend and I hate that!

  2. I was sick through most of last week…with a couple of different things, but I seem to be on the mend. My blog reading/writing is not consistent. I am often busy on the weekends and often online during my lunch break at work. (I’m at work right now…it’s a holiday and I’m done, but trying not to leave too early!)
