Host Rocket?

Has anyone ever heard of, or used, Host Rocket for hosting their site? They are having a pretty kickass sale on their “economy” package right now and I’m going to need a new host in two months and was thinking of switching now if it means my site will be more stable. Please voice any opinions you might have. Thanks!

  1. I’ve heard nothing but bad things about them… my best friend had her site hosted there for a while, and here’s what she said:

    “do. not. do it. Host rocket were the ones who fucked me over when I cancelled. I had horrible downtime, then they tried to charge me for MONTHS
    after I cancelled. UGH I have a fucking FOLDER for them, I hate them so much”

  2. I don’t know anything about Host Rocket but I’d recommend verhosting.com. I host a ton of different sites with them and they’ve been great. They have superb technical support…answering within half an hour at any time of the day or night…and helping with anything. It’s rarely down and when there was a small problem with outage, they switched servers right away. They aren’t the single cheapest but I find their prices to be very reasonable. And if they offered a referral service, I’d probably never have to pay for my own stuff again.

    The best host I’ve ever had in my 4 years of buying. And by far the best Control Panel I’ve ever seen. Plus all the standard stuff – excellent support, amazing customer service, etc etc.

  4. I had a lot of trouble with Host Rocket, and a lot of trouble when I tried to cancel my hosting with them. There are other places that are much cheaper. Try star-twist.org. Oh, and 2mhost.com is awful as well. I’ve also heard good things about netrillium.net. Bottom line? Host Rocket sucks major arse.
