I’ve already come across a few people complaining about Daylight Savings Time. “We lost a WHOLE hour!” Whine, whine, whine. Would you like some cheese with your whine? What is the big deal? It’s one hour on one day. It’s not like each day suddenly got reduced to 23 hours.

I swear if I catch anyone whining about how their sleep schedule is messed up for the rest of the next week, I will scream. All you had to do was get an extra hour of sleep. Is that really so hard?

Honestly, I think the benefits of DST far outweigh any loss in sleep. The sun is shining even longer and personally, that is a good thing. It’s depressing when it’s dark out. I love the sunlight, especially after suffering through a Winter of missing it cause I’m at work all day and by the time I leave, it’s setting.

If you’re really that upset, just remember that you will get your precious hour back in October.

I’m always amazed at the amount of people who complain too! Sure, I’d like to sleep one hour later but it’s ONE day of the whole year and I definitely like having light evenings. I just wish they’d work out some sort of time thing where it was sunny outside like 20 hours a day and only dark 4 or so ;)

We just switched our clocks back an hour so now it’s dark by the time I’m leaving work to go home. I hate it.

heh! i will say in the defense of some of us crazies, that i LOVE the spring time change. i LOVE getting off work when it’s still daylight outside and not feeling like i live my life in a tomb of darkness.

HOWEVER, it never ceases to take my body a few weeks to adjust – since i am also one of those wackos who wakes up without an alarm clock, the lack of sunshine in the a.m. throws my internal alarm off for a while.

so hmph! i will both complain and celebrate at the same time, and you won’t know whether to love me or throttle me. LOL! :)

You know that you bitching about them is just as bad as them bitching about it, right? Hahahahaha. Besides, bitching is fun, as you should be well aware!

I don’t know why everyone hates it, but I agree with Zal– whether you like it or not it throws off your internal clock. It happens to me a couple of weeks BEFORE it’s official, and I bitched about why all of a sudden I was falling asleep at 9 or 10 instead of 10 or 11. I was SO glad to see it finally roll around.
