April showers …

Yep, it’s raining. But I don’t mind, because it’s not the weekend and I don’t have somewhere to go. Plus it’s good for the grass, which is getting greener every day. Come on Spring, kick into high gear already!

Speaking of not going places, I got an interoffice email the other day about a company outing to a Cubs game. Unfortunately it’s on a Saturday that we have the kids, and with the boy’s allergies, it’s probably not a good idea keeping him out for several hours. The email reminded me that we had tried going to a weekend Cubs game last year, and looked for tickets too late. So Joe looked for tickets for this season … and again, we’re too late. It floors me that all the good games are sold out before the season even began, but oh well. I guess we won’t be going until next year. I really want to see a Sox vs Cubs game, so I will have to mark my February 2004 calendar to remind me. Haha.

I was planning on writing here how you’d think after working out on a daily basis that my legs would hurt less, yet they mysteriously hurt more. It was a literal pain to do 30 minutes on the elliptical today. I ended up stopping every ten minutes and taking a break, but still got the full 30 minutes in. Then when I went to post this entry, it hit me – the rain is what’s causing the pain. I don’t think I have arthritis or anything, but ever since I hit my twenties, I get pain in my legs, mostly in the knee area, whenever it rains. So hopefully this pain won’t last much longer.

I ran home during my lunch break and did the majority of the cleaning I needed to do (we have the kids this weekend), so now I’m just relaxing. Work was so easy today. We had to babysit a data dump in Oracle, which basically meant watching so it didn’t crash. So I got paid to read magazines all day. I had a huge stack of magazines (we have a lot of subscriptions) that I had wanted to go through, so it was nice.

And Must See TV is all new tonight. Yay for Thursdays!
