I am so into organizing, that I’ve spent the past two weeks trying to find snack-sized ziploc bags to store all my glass accent marbles because they are the perfect size to store one bag of each color. Joe finally spotted the bags at Target today (Target brand was $1.09 for a box of 50). I was starting to wonder if there was a nationwide shortage on the special-sized bags since I’ve seen the price tags on the shelves at Walmart and Dominick’s, but there were never any in stock.
Tip: You can get a nice bag of accent marbles from Walmart for only $1 compared to $2 or more at some place like Michaels or Wicks n Sticks, although you’ll find a wider array of colors there. My advice is to get the common colors (clear, black, blue, green, pink and turquoise) from Walmart and the other colors at places like Michaels (where I got the cool lime green ones).
Hey, I must be losing my marbles – I just spent an entire entry talking about them!
This might be a really dumb question, but what do you use the marbles for? They are really pretty, but I wasn’t sure what you were supposed to do with them.
You can use them for decorating, crafts, etc. I personally use them to decorate my fish tank as well as create centerpieces, also using fake flowers or candles. Or you can make these cool magnets.
