My idea of eye candy

To my women readers – raise your hand if you’ve gotten the “Eye Candy Calendar” in your e-mail box recently. Two of my friends sent it to me today and I found it interesting that at least three of the months featured Brad Pitt. Are there not enough “hot” men to go around? I find it hard to believe they couldn’t find 12 different guys to put on this calendar.

And honestly, is Brad Pitt even that sexy? Ever see him with a nasty cigarette hanging out of his mouth? What a turn-off! Personally, I didn’t find any of the men in the calendar appealing and I deleted the e-mails. As far as celebrity men are concerned, I’d be hard pressed to pick 12, but if I did, my list would be …

Nick Lachey, John Corbett, Robert Smith, Matt LeBlanc, Jimmy Fallon, Adam Sandler, and I’ve run out of steam already. I don’t find a lot of men attractive because I have to like what I know about their personality before I develop any kind of “crush”.

Besides, I’d take Joe over all of them any day of the week!

So who is on your list? And yes, I’ve posted about lists in the past. I’m an anal person and I like lists, so sue me.

Nothing

I have done absolutely nothing today. I mean nothing. Ok, that’s a bit of a lie. I did a few loads of laundry and made dinner. But that’s it. I didn’t crawl out of bed until 10 am and I didn’t shower until after noon. Talk about lazy! In my defense, I haven’t been feeling 100% for the past few weeks. I’ve had this sinus infection that won’t go away. I might just have to see my doctor after all.

In contrast, we will be busy tomorrow. Once the kids’ mom picks them up, we’ll be doing some shopping. On a Sunday. In the afternoon. During the holiday season. God help us.

Tired and lumpy

As I sat at work waiting for quitting time, I debated whether to take a nap or work out when I got home. So far, I’ve done neither. I’m too tired to work out but don’t have enough time to relax and take a nap before Joe gets here with the kids. I feel so run down lately. I know it’s because I haven’t been eating well and I’ve gained back 5 lbs. I’m slowly getting back into a better eating schedule (no dessert or snacks after dinner the past couple of days) and will start working out too. Maybe I should work out right now, if only for 15 minutes. Baby steps.

Sunday

Jeez, it feels like I haven’t sat down all day even though that isn’t entirely true. First off, I didn’t crawl out of bed until after 9 am. Then we putzed around and didn’t get anything accomplished until almost 1 pm.

While Joe worked on putting stuff in the attic and putting up the new molding around the kids’ bedroom doors, I took some photos of the dining room, the fake flowers we added to the master bedroom, and the new tv stand (photos here). I also did the dishes and some laundry. Right now I’m baking meatballs for the spaghetti we’ll be having for dinner.

We ran out to return two books to the evil library, and also took some things back to Walmart and Target two hours ago. I am so glad we were only returning things as it was a mad house! I think we ended up with $55 back. Yay! One of the things we returned was this device that allows you to hook up four inputs and your stereo receiver as the output so that it can be used for all the devices. The way we had things hooked up before, we had to have a VCR hooked up and on in order to use the stereo with the dvd player. Well it turns out the tv has an output on it that you can run to the stereo which accomplishes the same thing as this device. I’m so glad Walmart takes stuff like that back even when opened. We had just bought it yesterday, so I would have been annoyed if we had to keep it when it turns out we had no need for it, especially because it was $25.
