My schedule was off all week, peaking on Thursday because I had a conference call scheduled at 6 pm with one of the offices in another country. Since my shift normally ends at 4 pm, I came in late to even things out. Joe also had a late work evening, so we both didn’t have to get out of bed til 8 am. You may or may not be surprised how much a three hour shift difference throws things out of whack. All day I felt like my head was in the clouds. I like being up early so I can get home early. I don’t think I could ever go back to working 9-6 like I did when I worked for the cable company.<\/p>\n
I stopped at the library on the way into work to pick up some more books on beading since I had so much time to kill. I have a necklace design for Joe finished, I just have to string it and I’m nervous about that. Plus I’ve been putting it off because we’ve been busy watching tv in an attempt to keep the DVR empty enough to pick up all the new Fall shows. <\/p>\n
We’ve also been spending a good two hours every night playing Lego Star Wars II. That game kicks a$$! I never thought I’d be so addicted to a video game. I love how all the characters are rendered like Legos and when you slap someone it makes a clicky-clack noise. Too cute. Sometimes when we’re done with a level we’ll just sit there and slap one another which I am sure reduces our points but is too much fun to pass up. Right now we’re stuck in Dagobah and can’t find a way out, so I have to hunt down some hints online. <\/p>\n
Man, I have a load of feeds to catch up on. I haven’t spent more than a half hour total on my home computer since Sunday (and I never read blogs from work). Last Sunday I spent a good three hours creating entries and uploading photos from the weekend and it really irritated me how long it took. It just further confirmed that it’s not how I want to spend my time anymore, particularly during the week. Since the kids are over this weekend and it’s raining, I’m slowly catching up on my reading. After I’m done I’m going to seriously reduce the feeds I’m subscribed to because I feel anxious having all those un-read feeds just sitting there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
