I admit, I’m not one who necessarily explores the full gamut of what software can do. I’ve been using the free version of Winamp<\/a> for years and automatically upgrade whenever a new version comes out, so I’m not sure how long this nifty feature has been available, but today while preparing a DVD for Brother #2 of The Cure’s full body of work, I stumbled upon something called auto-tag. It’s really cool because it’s such a pain trying to edit the file info for each song individually and manually. <\/p>\n

With auto-tag you load as many MP3s into the Playlist as you want and right-click and choose “send to auto-tag” and the program compares each file to a database and returns results. If they are accurate you can choose for the information to be updated accordingly. I love it! Most of The Cure’s albums were in the database, but I did manage to confuse it on a few things; mostly bootlegs. <\/p>\n
