It bugs me when complete strangers start following me on Twitter because I know these people can’t possibly be interested in my boring infrequent updates. Call me cynical, but I feel they have an ulterior motive, and it’s to get me to visit their Twitter page and subsequently, their website. Usually these people have hundreds of people they are “following” which is ridiculous. No one can keep up with that many updates. They just found yet another way to “spam” people. Pathetic.
