My Jetta reached 100,000 miles on the way home from Qdoba on Tuesday. Joe was excited to be in the car when it rolled over. I was going to take a picture but no one really cares. I’m hoping I can get away with another 100,000 miles before getting a new car since we’re going to be replacing Joe’s truck soon as it is. It’s been nice not having any car payments the past two years! <\/p>\n
By the way, if you haven’t tried Qdoba’s naked burritos, please do. I think they are tastier than Chipotle’s and they have ground beef which Chipotle does not. Plus I got $100 worth of certificates for $50 through a local radio promo so Chipotle can suck it for now.<\/p>\n
I decided to clean up my feed reader again today and I really cut back on the content I’m subscribed to. Whenever there are unread feeds I feel anxious and obligated to catch up. So then instead of really paying attention, I skim over the entries. I removed True Wife Confessions even though I love reading it because I feel extra appreciation for the relationship I’m in after hearing about all the bullshit those woman deal with. I could never be with someone who doesn’t talk to me or who expects me to do everything around the house. We both work full-time so we share the responsibility of maintaining the house. Sure, I may do the majority of the cooking (and all of the upkeep for Oreo), but I have not pumped gas or washed my car in seven years. And with the exception of two weeks ago when Joe was at work and I had a friend over, I never vacuum either. <\/p>\n
Anyway, maybe now I’ll be more “productive” with my free-time. Even if I play on the Wii or get back into Guitar Hero I’ll be getting more exercise than sitting in front of the computer. Plus I need to stop surfing late at night. I’m having enough trouble sleeping and I read the brightness from the screen can have an effect on that. I need to read more before bed or listen to my iPod (I stopped doing that for some reason).<\/p>\n
It just occurred to me the other day that it’s less than a month before the Cure concert and I’m not feeling a lot of excitement. I blame it on the lack of a new album which I hear isn’t being released until September. Also, I hate the venue where they’re playing. I’m sure I’ll enjoy the show, though. I have never been disappointed by a Cure concert. It’s always, at the risk of sounding lame, a completely magical experience for me because they are such a great live band.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
