The new Cure box set, Join The Dots<\/i><\/a>, is being released January 27, 2004 and I’ve already pre-ordered my copy. Have you?<\/p>\n

I’m very excited to own this gem! Unlike this one chick who wrote a negative review on the upcoming release (unfortunately I lost the link), because she felt The Cure was merely releasing this material for sole financial gain, I think they are finally doing their fans a great service. Many of the songs that span the 4 disc collection cannot be found on cd save for a poorly made dub of a cassette tape or vinyl single. Clearly the girl writing the review doesn’t know her ass from a hole in the wall when it comes to The Cure. The fans, however, know better, and have been asking for this release for well over 5 years, if not longer. Robert Smith has teased us with the notion for far too long, so it’s long past due.

\n2004 is going to be the year of the cd purchases, which I rarely do nowadays. But The Cure is releasing remastered albums with bonus discs containing previously unreleased material so I’m going to have to get those (4 in all this year). And then there’s the Pictures of You<\/i><\/a> single that’s being released in two weeks. Not to mention a mix album of called RetroActive – Rare and Remixed<\/i><\/a> containing a Boys Don’t Cry mix.<\/p>\n

Oh and a new album that is due to be released in the Summer and the accompanying World Tour! I hope the Chicago show is at what is now formerly the World Music Theater. And if The Cure plays in Milwaukee we’ll be going to that show as well. When it comes to The Cure, I spare no expense.<\/p>\n
