I’ve got to hand it to Hellman’s – they take customer complaints seriously. A couple of months ago I called their customer service line about a jar of mayonnaise I had bought that didn’t taste right. I fully admitted to the customer service rep that it had since expired, but it was weird when I first opened it which was well before the expiration date, and I had kept it in the fridge intending to phone them since that was the second time in a year that it had happened. The first time I just threw it out, but mayonnaise isn’t cheap at $3+ a jar so I thought they should know about it. Plus it tasted like Miracle Whip which is evil stuff<\/a>. The woman apologized for the inconvenience and said she’d send out coupons which arrived about a month ago. Included were two coupons for free jars of mayonnaise (up to a $5 value) plus discounts on other products.
