Yes, it&#8217;s purple. Or as the sophisticated people call it, plum. Originally we wanted something in beige, but not only has that been just about impossible to find in a non-80&#8217;s-looking fabric (apparently leather and suede are what&#8217;s in right now), we also realized if we paint the walls a beige, and we have beige carpeting, it&#8217;s going to be too beige in our living room. A contrasting color will look nicer. And how can you do better than plum, I ask? I mean really. It&#8217;s due to be delivered in two weeks. Now if only we could find a decent dining set, we&#8217;d be done with large purchases for awhile. Until we get married next year, go on our honeymoon, and I buy a Canon digital SLR.
