{"id":7544,"date":"2016-03-06T20:49:07","date_gmt":"2016-03-07T02:49:07","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nicole.sleepyfroggie.net\/blog\/?p=7544"},"modified":"2016-03-06T20:49:07","modified_gmt":"2016-03-07T02:49:07","slug":"milwaukee-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nicole.sleepyfroggie.net\/blog\/?p=7544","title":{"rendered":"Milwaukee Visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Friday February 26th we drove up to Milwaukee to see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.postsecretshow.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">PostSecret: The Show<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><center><a href=\"http:\/\/nicole.sleepyfroggie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/PostSecretTix.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-7547\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/nicole.sleepyfroggie.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/PostSecretTix.jpg\" alt=\"PostSecretTix\" width=\"500\" height=\"181\" class=\"entry\" \/><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>We stopped at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.yelp.com\/biz\/oscars-pub-and-grill-milwaukee\" target=\"_blank\">Oscar&#8217;s Pub &#038; Grill<\/a> for dinner where we both had burgers which we really enjoyed. <\/p>\n<p>Once we arrived in the city proper we still had a decent amount of time to kill so we went to Bar Louie for drinks before the show. I had what they called the Festivus Sangria which was really yummy. I liked our view, not that it was truly necessary given the large screen where the secrets would appear.<\/p>\n<p><center><a data-flickr-embed=\"true\"  href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/halo969\/24946916483\/in\/datetaken\/\" title=\"PostSecret: The Show\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/farm2.staticflickr.com\/1661\/24946916483_64a4eca765.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"223\" alt=\"PostSecret: The Show\" class=\"entry\"><\/a><\/center><\/p>\n<p>I have mixed feelings about the show itself. It was definitely interesting but there were too many sad\/disturbing secrets. I guess that should have been expected but I hated how it made me teary-eyed. It was longer than I expected, but in a good way as that made the $38 per ticket (plus fees; although they were cheaper by calling the box office directly as opposed to buying through TicketMaster) easier to swallow.<\/p>\n<p>Overall the evening was a nice little getaway for us. Since Milwaukee isn&#8217;t too far we opted to drive back home after the show instead of staying overnight in a hotel.
