USPS & Outdoor Photographer

Joe and I stopped at Borders during lunch today, and I spotted the newest issue of Outdoor Photographer. It suddenly occurred to me that I hadn’t received my copy (we have a subscription) yet. Ironically enough, when I got home and grabbed the mail, there was my issue, in that stupid default envelope with the post office’s “apology” for tearing it to shreds. Of all the stupid crap I get on a daily basis, why is it always the magazines that suffer? And how come the post office isn’t required to replace the damaged product? It just doesn’t seem right.

Luckily, all we had to do was call Outdoor Photographer and they are going to mail us another copy of the issue. Of course it will take 4-6 weeks, but you know how that goes.

  1. That seems to happen to you too much – Post Office machinery eating or chewing or shredding parts or all of your mail. What does the P.O. have against you?!
