Monday Mission

Here’s a new meme I’m going to try on for size. Not sure if I like it enough to participate every week though, but we’ll see.

PromoGuy’s Monday Mission 3.48

1. Those paper toilet seat covers in public bathrooms, do you use them? Nope. If the seat looks clean, I sit, otherwise I hover. You have much higher chances of contracting something from touching the bathroom doors and sink than from the toilet seat. In fact, the toilet seat is actually cleaner than those other things, believe it or not. Unless you have a cut in your skin and sit in someone’s urine/feces/blood, you are not going to catch anything. Those paper toilet covers are for people’s paranoia.

2. What is on your Christmas Wish List for Santa to bring? Nothing, really. I don’t like asking for stuff because it’s no fun to open a present when you already know what it is. And not to sound all high and mighty, but if I really want something, I just buy it for myself.

3. In the month of November, Brian wrote over 50,000 words on his novel and is nearing completion. What did you accomplish in the month of November? I started a fitness regime that I’ve been sticking to better than ever before. I’m on the road to being healthier.

4. Have you ever snuck into someplace that you shouldn’t have? Tell me about that. Nope.

5. Do you recall the first internet meme you participated in? How did you come to find out about it? Do you still participate? Why or why not? It was the Friday Five. Sometimes I participate, but only if the questions interest me.

6. Do you have any favorite internet or “streaming” radio programs or music channels you wish were available in your car or on a portable radio? Nope.

7. Ever been skinny dipping? What’s the story there? Nope.

BONUS: What’s cooler than being cool? Being nice and warm. :)

Home Sweet Home

This week’s edition of the Sunday Brunch:

HOME SWEET HOME

1. How many people and pets live in your home? Two people and one pet (a fish).

2. Do you rent, own or live at home? Rent.

3. How many rooms are in your house? Either 3 or 4 depending on if the kitchen is considered a different room than the living/dining room as it’s kind of connected.

4. Is there enough room in your house to comfortably accommodate overnight guests? If they don’t mind sleeping on an air mattress on the living room floor, then yes.

5. How close do your neighbors live? Do you know them well and are they welcome in your home? We’re surrounded by our neighbors, living in an apartment building. I don’t know much about them and I’d like to keep it that way. Some I wish would move.

Friday Five

1. Do you like to shop? Why or why not? Yes, although I get tired of it after two stores. :)

2. What was the last thing you purchased? Hmmm … some Christmas decorations and a PS2.

3. Do you prefer shopping online or at an actual store? Why? It depends on the item. If it’s a big-ticket electronic item like a printer or camera, I will buy it online because I will always get a better deal and not have to pay tax. For stuff for the home, I prefer the store so I can look at stuff thoroughly before purchasing. I also prefer to get DVDs at the store as they are typically cheaper than online.

4. Did you get an allowance as a child? How much was it? If I did, I don’t remember.

5. What was the last thing you regret purchasing? I don’t usually have buyer’s remorse, so I can’t think of anything at the moment.

Sunday Brunch on Thursday

Yes, I’m a bit late, but it’s the Thanksgiving Edition:

1. How do you usually spend your Thanksgiving Day? With family.

2. Do you have the traditional turkey dinner or something else? Usually, but often there is ham too. Yum!

3. What is your favorite Thanksgiving Day food? My grandma’s stuffing. She passed away earlier this year, so I’m going to have to find a new favorite. :(

4. Do you stuff yourself or eat in moderation? Usually I stuff myself, but this year I’ll be eating in moderation.

5. The day after Thanksgiving is suppose to be “the biggest shopping day of the year”, do you go shopping on that day? Oh hell no! The deals aren’t worth the aggravation.

A Day Late

Yesterday’s Friday Five:

1. Using one adjective, describe your current living space. Cramped.

2. Using two adjectives, describe your current employer. Small and unrealistic.

3. Using three adjectives, describe your favorite hobby/pasttime. Creative, challenging, and fun

4. Using four adjectives, describe your typical day. Busy, stressful, cold, and frustrating (only when at work, though!)

5. Using five adjectives, describe your ideal life. Peaceful, humorous, loving, happy, and long.
