Everyday is Like Sunday

Here’s a new meme I am going to try on for size – Sunday Brunch. Yes, I realize I’m a day late.

Catchin’ Some Zzzzz’s

1. How many hours of sleep do average per day/night? At least six hours … but I’d say 7 is average.

2. Are you a bed or blanket hog? Neither. I stay on my side of the bed. As for the blanket, since Joe usually doesn’t sleep under them I get more than my share … until he gets cold.

3. Are you a sleepwalker? Nope.

4. Do you have recurring dreams? Yes, although most of them when I was younger and they went away … or so I think. Since we dream every night regardless of if we remember, who really knows?

5. Do you talk in your sleep? So I’ve heard.

Friday Thoughts

Ok … I’ve had the Chinese food I’ve been craving (Mongolian Beef is awesome at this place!) and I worked out. I’m ready to be a couch potato, or a computer potato if you will, for the remainder of the evening. TGIFx10000!

This week’s Friday Five:

1. What food do you like that most people hate? Hmmm … I can’t think of anything really … maybe the bagels w/ cream cheese, tomatos and salt and pepper. Most people turn up their nose when I say it’s delicious. Then again, I think I like tomatos more so than a lot of people.

2. What food do you hate that most people love? Mushrooms. Yuck!

3. What famous person, whom many people may find attractive, is most unappealing to you? Brad Pitt.

4. What famous person, whom many people may find unappealing, do you find attractive? Robert Smith of The Cure! Go ahead, I know you want to retch!

5. What popular trend baffles you? Those jeans that look worn out on the ass. People actually PAY for jeans that look like that? WTF are you thinking?

Happy Halloween

Work was nice and relaxed today … and I got off a bit early. Now I’m waiting for the kids to get here so we can go Trick-or-Treating. In the meantime, here’s this week’s Friday Five:

1. What was your first Halloween costume? I honestly don’t recall. I can tell you that I’ve dressed up as a ho-bo (sp?), pregnant lady, and Punky Brewster, but that’s all I can remember.

2. What was your best costume and why? Errr … I don’t know. I wasn’t all that into dressing up even when I was younger.

3. Did you ever play a trick on someone who didn’t give you a treat? No. I’m too nice for that!

4. Do you have any Halloween traditions? (ie: Family pumpkin carving, special dinner before trick or treating, etc.) Not so much now, but when I was a kid I remember my mom buying us those mini pumpkins so we could paint faces on them using poster paint.

5. Share your favorite scary story…real or legend! Gosh … I really can’t think of one. The scariest movie I ever saw was Halloween. Actually, watching it on Halloween was also one of our traditions when I lived with my parents.

Honestly, I much prefer giving out the treats than getting them. I think one year after I moved away I even came home to help my mom pass out the treats. I love seeing all the different costumes, especially on the kids under 5. I can’t wait to have a house and get that opportunity again. No one trick-or-treats in our apartment building.

Happy Halloween everyone!

Five for Friday

The Friday Five:

1. Name five things in your refrigerator. Pop, milk, apples, eggs, cheese (and lots of it).

2. Name five things in your freezer. Mint chocolate chip ice cream, creamsicles, ground sirloin, tv dinners, waffles.

3. Name five things under your kitchen sink. Trash bags, kitchen towels, dishwashing liquid, Windex, paper towels.

4. Name five things around your computer. Cell phone, cable remote, blank cds, Odd Todd Handbook, guacamole recipe torn from a magazine.

5. Name five things in your medicine cabinet. Toothbrush, toothpaste, nail clippers, floss, deodorant.

Friday Five

This week’s Friday Five was too good to pass up.

1. What vehicle do you drive? A 2000 Atlantic Blue Volkswagen Jetta GLS V6. It has 16″ alloy wheels, a 6-cd changer (Monsoon) and a moonroof.

2. How long have you had it? Three years.

3. What is the coolest feature on your vehicle? Hmmmm … does the V6 engine count as a feature? My car’s acceleration is awesome, as is the handling.

4. What is the most annoying thing about your vehicle? The molding on parts of the door (inside) – it’s made of this material that’s easy to damage. It annoys the heck out of me. That and the “velour” material on the seats. Next time it’s leather all the way.

5. If money were no object, what vehicle would you be driving right now? A brand new Jetta. Yes, I love my car that much.
