Work was nice and relaxed today … and I got off a bit early. Now I’m waiting for the kids to get here so we can go Trick-or-Treating. In the meantime, here’s this week’s Friday Five:
1. What was your first Halloween costume? I honestly don’t recall. I can tell you that I’ve dressed up as a ho-bo (sp?), pregnant lady, and Punky Brewster, but that’s all I can remember.
2. What was your best costume and why? Errr … I don’t know. I wasn’t all that into dressing up even when I was younger.
3. Did you ever play a trick on someone who didn’t give you a treat? No. I’m too nice for that!
4. Do you have any Halloween traditions? (ie: Family pumpkin carving, special dinner before trick or treating, etc.) Not so much now, but when I was a kid I remember my mom buying us those mini pumpkins so we could paint faces on them using poster paint.
5. Share your favorite scary story…real or legend! Gosh … I really can’t think of one. The scariest movie I ever saw was Halloween. Actually, watching it on Halloween was also one of our traditions when I lived with my parents.
Honestly, I much prefer giving out the treats than getting them. I think one year after I moved away I even came home to help my mom pass out the treats. I love seeing all the different costumes, especially on the kids under 5. I can’t wait to have a house and get that opportunity again. No one trick-or-treats in our apartment building.
Happy Halloween everyone!
