Summer Fun

Whew, what a fantastic weekend! We got a lot accomplished, and had a bunch of fun too. We slept in both days, which was nice (and by sleeping in, I mean getting up after 8 am, but before 10 am).

Yesterday we took my car to Joe’s parents’ and washed it inside and out, and gave it a coat of wax. And by we, I really mean Joe. I did the inside, and he did the rest. We also stopped at Sears to exchange the bathroom rugs we bought last weekend. I thought we needed a change from the maroon theme we had going, and bought tan rugs. But after bringing them home, they just didn’t work, so we got a medium blue instead. They are shaggy too and really cute. They didn’t have any nice shower curtains, though.

Then we came back up by our area and ran some errands. We had to return the router we had bought for my brother from Circuit City because it didn’t work. It was obviously used too, because it was dusty. Then we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond to look for a shower curtain, but everything sucked, and was expensive, so we got this candle holder instead.

Today we visited a few scenic areas to take photographs, bought a few more plants for our patio garden, and visited the library in the next town over. They let you borrow 20 cds per card, but we only got a few. We also picked up a few books. Afterwards, we went to Walmart to pick up some things, including a cute seashell-themed shower curtain. Along with the new soap dispenser and drinking cup we got, the redecorating of the bathroom is complete. I love it because it’s so much brighter and has a summer/beach feel to it.

The season premiere of Sex and The City is on in a few so ta-ta for now.
