We had a busy, but enjoyable weekend. Around 4:00 pm on a Sunday it almost feels like it’s over already. That’s why I call it the “bad time”. Good thing we only have three days of work this week! We took next Monday off too, so we’ve got five days off in a row. Sweeet!
Anyway, yesterday we spent two hours at the bank because I had my old 401k rolled over into an IRA Money Market account. Afterwards we did some shopping at Walmart for some Christmas decorations and Target for a lunchbag as mine ripped and leaked all over last week, then came home to take apart my car. We also rented Dumb and Dumberer which was ok. I rented a SpongeBob game for the PS1 which wasn’t any good. We both ended up crashing not long after SNL came on.
This morning we put my car back together and so far it’s running smoothly. We went to a matinee showing of Elf which I really enjoyed. I love Will Ferrell. He’s one of the few actors who could pull that movie off, I think. After the movie we went to Target again so Joe could get the Playstation 2. We got the package that comes with a network adapter and game and also picked up an extra controller, a memory card, and the Spyro game that was on sale for only $10. I got some snowman decorations that I’m itching to put up – a matching welcome mat, hand towels, and a tablecloth. I can’t wait until Thanksgiving is over so I can put up my Christmas decorations and change the bathroom decor back to something more winter-like.
Joe hooked up the PS2 while I did a massive cleaning on the bathroom (it really needed a thorough cleaning (read: it took over an hour)). He was playing Socom which looks really cool. We also tried Simpsons Road Rage and Spyro. I really love the graphics with this system. I was reading some negative reviews regarding the quality of graphics for the PS2, but I think those people are just never satisfied. Of course, I’m coming from the PS1, so anything is going to look fantastic in comparison. Hopefully my car won’t give me anymore problems since we dropped $300 at Target today. *Crosses fingers*
So are you one of those people like me that refuse to put up Christmas decorations before Thanksgiving??? I want to soooo badly, but I refuse to put up one strand of lights until the Thanksgiving weekend- it’s a matter of principle for me :)
That bathtub photo is so cool–how did you do that? It looks like bubbles are coming out of the faucet (sorry to state the obvious). Is that with your new camera?
Kristi – Yes, I refuse to put up the xmas decorations until after Thanksgiving. It’s just disrespectful otherwise. I can understand if people want to string the lights on their house while it isn’t freezing out, but they don’t have to turn them on yet!
Ms. Boombastic – Yes, that was taken with my new camera. It DOES look like bubbles, but it’s just the water coming out. I used flash which froze all the water with the water bubbles in it to get the effect. I’m glad you like it; I’m rather fond of it as well!
