I frequent this Nikon forum at a digital photography page and sometimes I just feel like flaming the hell out of some of those people. First of all, why in the world would you ask those people which camera you should buy, especially when you’re comparing a Canon and a Nikon? Hmmm …. let me guess what the NIKON forum members are going to suggest.
Second of all, comparing a Digital SLR (Canon 300D) and a digital compact camera (Nikon 5700) is like comparing apples to oranges. It just doesn’t make sense. I always want to tell these people to stop wasting their time on these amateur’s opinions and look at the facts. Read reviews, check out sample photos, determine what you want/need in a camera and then buy the camera that gives you that and still falls within your price range.
Who needs the sarcastic comments that some of the members post? You’d think you were insulting these people’s mothers if you dare say a negative thing about the camera they own. I personally don’t care what anyone thinks about my camera as long as I like it and I get the desired results from it. That is ALL that should matter.
The same could be said for just about any internet forum. These little online get togethers sometimes round up the most insipid folk.
