Borrowed Down With Love from the library today. I thought it was going to be blah since I hate movies based in the past, but it was quite delightful. Except for the ending. WTF was up with that? *Shakes head* Sometimes I think the writer just doesn’t know what to do to wrap things up. I really liked Stuck On You but the ending really sucked in that movie too.

you actually liked Stuck on You? okay, i can’t poke fun because i haven’t seen it – the previews turn me off. and i just can’t take Greg Kinnear very seriously… esp. with Matt Damon. i’m looking forward to seeing Matt Damon in the next Bourne installment.
i have Down With Love, too… i can’t remember the ending, though.

I loved “Down With Love”! The ending is deliberately silly, because the whole thing is an homage to the dumb old Doris Day and Rock Hudson comedies… so the ending had to be ridiculous in order to stay true to theme. Believe me, I was rolling my eyes, too.
