Saturday was a nice Fall/Halloween themed day. We started by visiting Sonny Acres Farm for a bit so I could get my annual walking taco, and we also enjoyed some delicious fresh-baked apple cider donuts.
Upon arriving home the boys carved pumpkins. I ran to the store with my SIL to get fixings for dinner while Joe roasted some pumpkin seeds.
After dinner, armed with hot chocolate and marshmallows, we went on the Gallery of Ghoulish Homes tour in St. Charles. There were a handful of rookies that we visited this year who were pretty good. Plus many of the homes had live actors to compliment their creepy scenes. Midway through the tour we stopped at McDonald’s for a snack like we do every year. Everyone gets a shake and being lactose intolerant I can’t do that if I want to avoid a tummy-ache, so I got a cheeseburger instead.
I love our holiday family traditions!
