I got my a flu shot at work today. I don’t know why some people refuse to get one, especially when their excuse is that the shot gives them the flu. Do they even read the email? It says that dead cells are used in the vaccine, which means it’s impossible to get sick from it. At the most, the injection site will be tender and you can run a low-grade fever for a day. I’d gladly take those over being sick for a week. And when you’re working in a cubicle farm with everyone coughing and sneezing all over, it’s a germ farm all around you. Last year I got the flu shot and didn’t get sick at all. Can’t beat that for $20. I hope to be as lucky this year.
