Yesterday we went to this cemetery that we discovered last year sometime. I wanted to get a shot of the windmill because it’s so cool, and dates back to the 1800’s. While walking around, we happened upon a dead dog lying at the edge of a pond. It looked like a rottweiler, but I couldn’t be sure. The body was rather bloated. I wondered if it was a stray that died. A friend offered up the possible explanation that it was someone’s pet, and after it passed the owners dumped it there. I would hope not, but I guess some people can’t afford to pay a vet to properly dispose of their pet. Either way, it’s sad.
A windmill? In a cemetery? Did I read that right? Wait a minute, you were on a putt-putt course weren’t you!!! :) Didn’t the other players get all ticked off when you were standing on the “green” trying to get your shot?
