I haven’t been participating in the Photo Friday lately, but this is an open letter to those that have. Please read the “rules”, aka “How to Participate”. The point of the site is to find something to photograph that pertains to the week’s topic, not to hunt through your previously taken photos and post one that corresponds. Where’s the challenge in that? I have a ton of photos corresponding to this week’s topic, water, but I won’t be posting because I don’t have time to go out and take a photo (and sorry, but the toilet and sink just don’t move me). So anyway, I just wanted to get my point across.

I’ve never participated in Photo Friday but followed your link to check it out. Just thought I’d point out that the directions actually say “If you already have the perfect image in your archive that suits the challenge, go ahead and submit your link to it, or take a new picture – it’s your choice.” But I agree with your point on making it a challenge…
well , don’t forget to honest now . lol
btw, i love your photo’s ..
Mk – Well I stand corrected. I wonder if they changed the rules. I could have sworn when it first started it didn’t say that. Oh well.
It does seem rather pointless not to follow it as a challenge, though, instead of posting from archived photos. There’s no fun in that. =)
Paisley – thanks!
I can’t remember if I’ve told you this before or not, but have you checked out dpchallenge.com? It’s similar to Photo Friday except that it’s a contest and you HAVE to do the shot within the week assigned. The forums are kind of annoying but you can get some decent feedback from the challenges.
