Despite the overcast skies today, we headed over to Cantigny Park to check out their Greenhouse Open House which they only offer once a year. We brought the cameras along, but didn’t end up using them. We had thought their greenhouse might be something like the one at the Garfield Park Conservatory, but it was really just a basic greenhouse, not unlike those found at Home Depot. Thank goodness it was located at a separate entrance where they don’t collect the $7 per car admission or I would have felt extremely ripped off. I hope next weekend the weather is much nicer so we can explore the forest preserves in the area.
