I’ve actually been doing pretty good with my eating until Friday when they had pizza at work. I had a Lean Cuisine pizza first (which I burned like an idiot) so I wouldn’t end up going nuts. It was Pizza Hut pizza (read: crap), so it wasn’t hard to only take one small slice of cheese. I topped it with crushed red pepper flakes which has recently become my new favorite spice.
But Friday night and today was a different story. Last night we had the girl’s favorite dinner, spaghetti, since it was her birthday. I also made a devil’s food cake with vanilla frosting (at the girl’s request – although she didn’t eat any of it all weekend which hurt my feelings), so I had a slice of that topped with Edy’s Grand Espresso Chip. Yum!
Today I had two eggs and two slices of toast for breakfast, a hot dog for lunch, and spaghetti leftovers for dinner, not to mention an encore of last night’s dessert.
Ironically enough, I weighed in at 122 lbs. today which is the lowest I’ve been in a year. So yea, that’s not going to last.
Incidentally, Edy’s Slow Churned Light ice cream is the best tasting light ice cream I’ve ever tasted. You can’t even tell it’s not full fat!
I recently became addicted to red pepper flakes too. I have always loved spicy foods, so I don’t get why it took me so long to start putting crushed red pepper on my pizza (and pasta now too). I love it!
I noticed that since I’ve been trying to watch what I eat, I’ve been gravitating toward using more spices and trying stuff that is hotter. I guess I reason that if I have to eat less food, it should at least be more flavorful.
