Sucky Shopping

Well that totally sucked. A new Meijer store opened in the area earlier this week, so we thought we’d head over there tonight to check it out. We figured it wouldn’t be very crowded at 10 pm. I guess a million other people had the same idea. It totally killed my desire to spend money when I had to push through people just standing in the middle of aisles like they were brain-dead. After walking around fifteen minutes, we left empty-handed. No way were we standing in their long lines.

Since we were out, we did some grocery shopping. It was much quieter at the Jewel and Dominick’s. Unfortunately, shopping for food does nothing to pacify my need for retail therapy, which has been strong this week. I imagine we’ll be hitting the Walmart/Target this weekend. Stupid Meijer shoppers. Take your asses home and put your kids to bed.

Prints

After that last entry …

Maybe you can cheer me up a little by visiting my new small business venture. It’s called Perfect Pixels; a website where you can purchase prints of my best work.

Pass the word along … the more people who visit, the better chance I have of someone actually ordering something. :)

Extreme Makeover Home Edition

Now this is the kind of makeover show I can watch because the recipients deserve something good in their lives. Last week’s episode almost had me in tears because of how overjoyed and grateful the family was. Tonight’s episode is gonna be a tear-jerker for sure.

Michigan

Did I mention that our trip to the East Coast has been cancelled? We decided that it was going to cost too much money when we’re trying to save right now. It was causing too much stress, so we opted for a shorter/closer getaway to Michigan instead. We’ll be staying in Mackinaw City and visiting Mackinac Island next month. I can’t wait!
