I had heard the rumors they were going to leave us hanging for Prison Break, but I wasn’t expecting them to say “Prison Break returns with all new episodes in March 2006”. MARCH? You have GOT to be kidding me! I was all sad thinking I’d have to wait until January, but not MARCH!!! I was on the edge of my seat tonight wanting to find out what happens and now I have to wait at least three months, if not longer if it isn’t until mid or late March? WTF? What the hell are they thinking? They expect fans to wait a quarter of a year to see what happens? Total bullshit. I am not pleased.

Good news is 24 starts in January. I need something to be addicted to besides King of Queens, House, My Name is Earl and The Office you know. ;)

Like an island, except …

When we were playing Trivial Pursuit on Thanksgiving, one of the questions I had to ask my dad used the term atoll. Not having the faintest clue what an atoll even was, I asked my dad. He replied, “It’s like an island except surrounded by water”. Yeah.

Dine out Saturday

We were all excited earlier this week to learn that a Taco Fresco just opened nearby, so yesterday we had lunch there. There’s only one word for that food: Blech.

We’ve eaten at the Taco Fresco in the mall near my work before, and while it’s not the tastiest (healthy tacos just don’t work, you know, which is why Chipotle is light years better), I don’t recall it being that bad. In any case, we won’t be back. The tacos were bland, the guacamole and salsa was just awful, and the chips were so loaded with grease, we’re not sure what happened to their healthy food commitment.

For dinner, being lazy like we are, we tried a local place called Wise Guys Grill and had gyros. I don’t have gyros often because I can only imagine the fat content in that mystery meat, but these were good. They were loaded with meat and that oh-so-yummy cucumber sauce. I only ate half and was full, so I’ve got leftovers today.

Is it any wonder I’m up 5 lbs. from before the wedding? I am lacking all motivation to work out too. I haven’t done so for over a month now. :p

XM is on my shit list

XM Satellite radio is on my shit list right now. They have commandeered the only station I listen to on a daily basis, The System (Channel 82), and turned it into a 24-hour holiday music channel from now until Christmas.

Now there’s no reason to turn it on for the next month. They should refund me since it’s the only station I listen to. They couldn’t add a channel to their line-up or perhaps use one of 7 country stations instead of taking the only good station out of the 4 dance channels they offer? I wonder if Sirius would pull this. Maybe I should call XM and ask them if they prefer I change my service to their competitor.

Dane Cook & SNL

Guess who’s hosting Saturday Night Live December 3rd? Dane Cook, comedic genius, that’s who. If you don’t know who he is, crawl out from under your rock and peruse his site for a bit. He’s got tons of sound bites and videos hosted that showcase just how funny he is. Man, I just went nuts when I saw he’d be hosting SNL. I nearly jumped out of my seat in excitement! I can’t wait! I already have it programmed into the DVR. I just hope he gets some decent skits. I almost wish he was on Mad TV instead because the writing on SNL blows lately.
