Goodbye, Peanut

November 26th, 2007

Peanut passed away last night. She seems to have died in her sleep, so I hope she didn’t suffer at all. She was such a good hamster. I really enjoyed having her around and I will miss her.

So sorry to hear about Peanut. She looks like she was really sweet. My cat Daniel passed away about a month ago so he will keep Peanut company. :)

Ellen – I’m sorry to hear about your cat. I can only imagine how much you must miss him. I hope those two are playing nice!

Everyone else – Thank you so much for coming to my blog and expressing your sympathy. I know I’m not the most touchy feely person in the world, but it means a lot to me that you care.

It’s so weird walking by where Peanut’s cage was and for it not to be there anymore. I got into a habit into checking on her at bare minimum three times a day – before I left for work, when I got home from work, and before I went to bed, and I catch myself still attempting to do that.

Sorry to hear about Peanut. It’s never easy. This might be an unconscious reason why I don’t have pets, don’t want to have to lose any more.
