More Space

We went to look at a townhome for sale by owner today. The guy was really nice and the place wasn’t bad, especially for the price. The open floor plan for the living, dining and kitchen area was very appealing. But their were only two bedrooms and they were super small. The master bedroom was much smaller than our current bedroom, so there was no room for our elliptical machine. Since the second bedroom would be the kids’, we couldn’t put it there. And there was no place to put our desks.

So I guess the search continues. It’s very frustrating! And I’m starting to get tired of having to consider space for our two desks. We’re tempted to get a laptop and ditch one of the desks to make more room in our apartment since at this rate we’re gonna be here for awhile.

Bugged

Ugh. I just got finished reinstalling Windows XP because I had a bunch of parasites on my machine that I could not get rid of. Nasty little bugs kept coming back no matter how many times I removed them, deleted the folders, ran AdAware to remove the Registry Keys, and all that fun stuff. So I figured this was the only way. It’s nice, though. My machine runs smoother because there’s nothing on it!

Hanging Around

I am sooo going to regret staying up later than normal come tomorrow morning. I blame it on Joe – he has been playing his Socom game online with his buddies since 7:45 pm and we’ve yet to vacuum the apartment (which we have to do before the kids come over due to his son’s allergies/asthma).

I’ve made myself useful during these past three hours, however. I loaded the dishwasher, took care of some finances, got together my tax info, downloaded The Cure ringtone for my phone (what’s up with it taking AN HOUR for it to go through to my phone though; that’s just nuts), upgraded MT, and installed MT Blacklist. I thought I should stop pressing my luck and secure our sites. I haven’t had any comment spam at all. I feel so left out and unpopular – even the spammers don’t want to visit my site! :p

I also turned on this thing in MT called throttle so if you comment on my site and for whatever reason want to post another comment, you have to wait a minute first or you’ll get an error.

In other news, I am in love with my phone. I have quickly become one of those people I ridicule. I want to download pretty wallpapers and tones for my phone. Hello, it’s just a freakin phone! I hope the novelty wears off – it’s more than I can bear. Way too much excitement.

Ringtones

You know how some people find those cutesy song ringtones annoying? Well my phone has nothing but songs. I don’t have any regular ringing phone sounds for my new phone. So … I’ve decided I need to get a decent cutesy song. Of course, they are not free. In fact, they are $1 each. They’re just midis … hell, if I could figure out how to load a midi onto my phone, I’d be in heaven – I’ve got a ton of Cure ones on my computer. But life isn’t that easy, is it?

So … I’ve narrowed down my choices to the following, and just for the hell of it, I’m curious which one you’d pick:

Just Like Heaven by The Cure
Just Can’t Get Enough by Depeche Mode
The Knight Rider Theme Song
Porcelain by Moby
Honey by Moby

I might just get greedy and download them all. After all, it’s just $5.

Oh so pretty

20040203-wireless_t.jpg See my pretty new phone over there? Me likey! Joe decided on a Motorola flip phone which doesn’t have a color screen and he’s a bit jealous of my phone. This thing is so small, it’s rather annoying. Phones are getting way too tiny these days. I feel like Zoolander talking on the thing. “Hello, Katinka?” So far reception in the apartment is good, unlike Nextel. So I give T-Mobile two thumbs up for the time being. Hopefully I won’t have to eat my words.
