What I’ve been up to

Since I last wrote, I…

Ordered pizza from a new place nearby in my never-ending quest to find the perfect pie. It was ok. Better than most, actually, but I’m still not satisfied. Their oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are divine, however. I must block out of my mind that I pass this place on my way home from work every day or I’ll be tempted to stop for a pre-dinner snack.

Watched 28 Weeks Later which must be one of the better films I’ve seen this year. I’m not so much for the horror genre but I’d like to see another installment. 28 Months Later, anyone?

Watched three hours of Prison Break that had accumulated on the DVR. I don’t know why I have such a love hate relationship with this show. I procrastinate turning it on, but thoroughly enjoy it once I’m watching it. Of course now it’s on hiatus until at least January.

Went to Target this morning and was pleasantly surprised it wasn’t a madhouse. Was able to get the iPod for the girl and some DVDs and a scooter for the boy. The board games that were on sale were completely gone. Good thing I ordered those from Amazon.com yesterday (and they shipped yesterday too which is insanely quick for free super-saver shipping).

Made this crazy delicious sandwich for lunch.

Started some laundry.

I was completely stir crazy from an entire day inside yesterday, but since we got out of the house this morning I hope to not go insane today. I rented License To Wed to watch later. Not because I expect it to be good in any way, but because I need some cute overload (John Krasinski).

Now I’m off to pay bills and reorganize my recipe book.

Parade of violence

Now I remember why I skip watching the Thanksgiving Day parade every year – BORING! And why does it end with Santa Claus wishing everyone a Merry Christmas? It would be awesome if a turkey came out and mowed his ass down.

I was yelling at the tv, “shut the fuck up Santa, or I’ll slit your reindeer’s throats” to which Joe added, “you’re going to find Rudolph’s nose in a box”. LMAO!

FALPVF #2

Ok, so sue me, I’m a day late. [Don’t know what I’m talking about? See this post].

Hamleto The Hamster is a little comic strip I came across this week. Very cute if you’re a hamster owner. Otherwise, possibly boring.

Flip & Tumble Bags are reusable bags that roll up into the size of a peach when not in use allowing you to keep one on hand all the time. I could see the usefulness when shopping or traveling. Plus I’m a bag whore and these are inexpensive.

A rare SNL gem: People Getting Punched Just Before Eating (which is airing again tonight). Love the music!

I Bet You’ve never heard of this show

One night I was flipping channels and I came across the last 10 minutes of an interesting show on a HD channel Mojo. The show is called I Bet You and it features two very funny guys named Antonio and Phil who are professional poker players and who also enjoy betting on anything that inspires them as they wander the streets of America. Ever since seeing that one show I am hooked. I DVR’d older episodes this weekend because I enjoy watching the chemistry between the guys. Antonio particularly impresses me with his ability to make odd requests to strangers and not get punched. Of course, the cameras may help in that respect. These two make me want to go to Vegas in the hopes of running into them. How fun would that be?

Freakin awesome links, photos, and videos Friday

Otherwise known as FALPVF! Haha, that’s the title for a new feature on my blog that, knowing me, will likely be one post and then dropped. I cannot be trusted to blog regularly as many of you have come to realize. In fact, you might as well subscribe to the feed so you don’t waste your time checking back here frequently. I don’t have much to say. Work is work. I watch tv daily. I play Guitar Hero a lot (for now until I get bored).

So here’s some stuff I’ve seen in online that I would like to share with you all!

Bears … Beets … Battlestar Galactica – Otherwise known as Jim vs. Dwight on The Office. I laugh my ass off every time I watch this.

If that doesn’t float your boat, why don’t you break me off a piece of that Fancy Feast?

Do you prefer cute creatures? How about this hamster? Or perhaps this dragon-pig?

If creepy is more your style, check out the Living Dead Dolls pencil sharpener. Just what you need when you want to ram a pencil in some douchebag’s eye!

If organization and usefulness make you excited (like it does for me), check out the Dynomighty Magnetic Desk Dots or the Mobile Device Charging Holder. Imaginative name, that last one, eh? Manbearpig must have had something to do with it.
