The tulips did in fact make it. So now I have two vases full of flowers!
Incidentally, Palermos is the best pizza in the Chi-town ‘burbs, bar none. We don’t have it often, so it’s a delicious treat.

Help me find this brush
Does anyone know where I can find this Avon round brush other than on Avon’s UK website? Unfortunately, they do not deliver to the US and it is the most perfect brush for my hair. I haven’t been able to find any for the past few years, except at flea markets. :(
Hanging Around
I am sooo going to regret staying up later than normal come tomorrow morning. I blame it on Joe – he has been playing his Socom game online with his buddies since 7:45 pm and we’ve yet to vacuum the apartment (which we have to do before the kids come over due to his son’s allergies/asthma).
I’ve made myself useful during these past three hours, however. I loaded the dishwasher, took care of some finances, got together my tax info, downloaded The Cure ringtone for my phone (what’s up with it taking AN HOUR for it to go through to my phone though; that’s just nuts), upgraded MT, and installed MT Blacklist. I thought I should stop pressing my luck and secure our sites. I haven’t had any comment spam at all. I feel so left out and unpopular – even the spammers don’t want to visit my site! :p
I also turned on this thing in MT called throttle so if you comment on my site and for whatever reason want to post another comment, you have to wait a minute first or you’ll get an error.
In other news, I am in love with my phone. I have quickly become one of those people I ridicule. I want to download pretty wallpapers and tones for my phone. Hello, it’s just a freakin phone! I hope the novelty wears off – it’s more than I can bear. Way too much excitement.
Yay day
Today is a fantastic day. Here’s a few reasons why:
Joe is on his way home with a yummy Portillos hot dog and a bowl of soup for me since I’ve been good with my calories lately and can indulge a bit.
I tried on my previously too tight pants this morning and they are actually too big to wear!
My W-2 finally came in so now I can do my taxes.
A new 42-minute episode of Friends is on in a half hour.
It’s the simple things.
Taxes
I do not like to wait. I’m an impatient person by nature. So it’s no surprise that I am *almost* looking forward to Monday because our T-Mobile phones will be delivered then. Also, I am praying we get our W-2s then too since we did not get them today. I hate companies that wait til the last possible second to send them out. My current employer gave us our W-2s the first week of January but I have to wait for my former employer’s W-2 before I can file my taxes. I don’t think I’ll be getting as much back as I did last year since I’ve been claiming 1 this year instead of 0 every other year.
