I’m NOT Lovin’ It

Anyone else hate McDonald’s new tagline, “I’m Lovin’ It” and that stupid commercial that goes along with it? Give me a break. I mean, “You Deserve a Break Today” was much better.

Ok … I also hate the new Nextel commercial featuring the Direct Connect feature. I WISH the Direct Connect would go through that fast. Only if you’re standing directly underneath a cell tower. If, on the other hand, you’re in my apartment, be prepared for lots of tones indicating you can’t get through.

I swear, people in the advertising industry really think we’re stupid. Well, I guess they’re right in most cases, but I’m no fool.

Sharing the Love

When I got into my car this morning, this was sitting on top of my cup holders. I did one of those, “Awwww” noises when I saw her. Isn’t she precious? I swear, Joe is so sweet. I had been wanting a Care Bear of my own for awhile, and the new Share Bear was my favorite, so he did good. Apparently he purchased her yesterday afternoon and then put her in my car when he left for work this morning. So we were both having that loving feeling yesterday, as noted in my previous entry. Isn’t love grand?

Melt My Heart

Sometimes I’ll be at work just plugging away at what I do every day when I’ll glance at the photo of Joe I have on my desk and I’ll start to day-dream. I’ll start thinking about when we first started seeing each other – our first date, our first kiss, and the first time he said “I love you”. Then I start thinking about our future – us getting married, buying a house, growing old together. I’ll think of how happy he makes me, how much I love him, how perfect he is for me in every way, and how much I can’t wait to see him again. I’m still amazed, almost three years later, how lucky I am to have him in my life. So for no other reason but because, I wanted to share that with you all.

I love you, Joe, always and forever, with all my heart and soul.

Sunday Bloody Sunday

20031005-caterpillar_t.jpg My weekend feels backwards. Saturday we did pretty much nothing all day, and today we were out all day. I was up around 6 am, but didn’t get out of bed until 6:30 to take a shower. We got the kids ready and dropped them off at home, then went to Joe’s parents’. His dad made us breakfast while we chit-chatted. Then we cleaned my old rims and took pictures of them so I can sell them on e-bay (unless, of course, one of you is interested … then contact me). As Joe was setting up the first rim for me, we found a Woolly Bear caterpillar. Joe picked him up and placed him in my hand and he curled up into a ball. So I took him over to the bricks in front of the house hoping he’d unroll. Eventually he did, but not before pooping first. Apparently we literally scared the shit out of him. Ha ha.

Friday Five

This week’s Friday Five was too good to pass up.

1. What vehicle do you drive? A 2000 Atlantic Blue Volkswagen Jetta GLS V6. It has 16″ alloy wheels, a 6-cd changer (Monsoon) and a moonroof.

2. How long have you had it? Three years.

3. What is the coolest feature on your vehicle? Hmmmm … does the V6 engine count as a feature? My car’s acceleration is awesome, as is the handling.

4. What is the most annoying thing about your vehicle? The molding on parts of the door (inside) – it’s made of this material that’s easy to damage. It annoys the heck out of me. That and the “velour” material on the seats. Next time it’s leather all the way.

5. If money were no object, what vehicle would you be driving right now? A brand new Jetta. Yes, I love my car that much.
