FIL #12

Tmobile was hit with a class action suit recently over its charging customers for unwanted text messages. It’s about frickin time! My biggest complaint with them is how I can’t turn off text messaging. I’m not a teenage girl and I don’t like that people continue to text me when I don’t have a plan and have to pay per text. I swear those cellphone companies are all sorts of greedy. I hope I can get some money back for this bullshit.

More cute pets! Heart-shaped ferrets and a hammy going for a dip (I don’t condone bathing your hamster, but it’s still a cute shot). Oh and the cutest kitty paws in the world.

It’s not nice to laugh at other’s people’s misfortune but I admit, this is kinda funny. Like someone in the comments of the article already said, it’s a Whopper of an error. I’ve always thought debit cards were a risky idea and don’t have one. Had it been a credit card, these poor people wouldn’t be getting slapped with fees for an overdrawn account. A credit card offers more protection because you’re not messing around with the money you need for bills and whatnot.

Tank Tops & Easy Ravioli Bake

I don’t have to go to work again until Tuesday, woo hoo! The sucky part? I still have to go out tomorrow – my employer is paying to send me to an intermediate Excel class. I probably know most of what will be taught, but I need to brush up before going to the expert class. :)

This week I purchased a total of 8 new tank tops. I know what you’re thinking, more tank tops? Well, in my defense, many of mine are too big now; not that I’m complaining! I found three at Meijer – white, powder blue, and black and white striped. Then at Kohl’s they had their $14 tank tops (yikes, who would pay THAT?) on sale for $7. I got black, green, and blue and white striped. They are the most comfortable tank tops ever! Plus they are long which I like now that my hips aren’t as big. So I went back today to get more but apparently the $7 price was only good over the weekend – they were $9 a piece. I got three more, though, because it’s hard to come across good tank tops and find them again (I’m looking at you, Old Navy). I got another black, a blue, and a red one. I’ve got all the colors of the rainbow now. Well, except yellow or orange because that’s way too bright for me.

I made this recipe from Betty Crocker last night and it came out real good. I like fast and easy meals. We polished it off tonight with an order of crazy bread from Little Caesar’s. It’s so good, it’s crazy!

I heart my iPod

So now that I’ve given into iTunes, I’ve been going a little nuts looking for stuff to add to my iPod. I don’t know if it’s more appropriate to say I’m obsessed with my iPod, or just that owning an iPod has reawakened my love of music.

Gifts from my husband

I honestly never thought I’d get so attached to this little device. I’ve always got it on me. I listen to it on the way to work, during work, and on the drive home. I watch podcasts during my lunch break too, and sometimes I even fall asleep listening to music. It’s crazy!

And music and podcasts aren’t where it ends. In addition to the nearly 40 GB of music I’ve already amassed, I’ve discovered how to convert my Yahoo! contacts list to a format my iPod can view as well as how to add text files to the notes category. I’m a list-maker so I’ve got a running To Do and grocery list on there. I even added directions to the Excel class I’m taking next week.

Oh and the iPod games are pretty nice for $5. I downloaded Peggle and it’s just as fun as the PC version I played in evaluation mode last year.

I don’t need to mention how I’m addicted to Podcasts now too, right? So far, these are the ones I download faithfully:

Around The Net
Best of YouTube
Comedy Central: Standup (Video)
Diggnation
The Perfect Mix
The Soup Video Podcast
A State of Trance Official Podcast
VH1 Best Week Ever
1UP.com – 1UP Show

Which ones do you recommend? I like the video ones more than the audio.

All by myself

Don’t wanna be
All by myself anymore

Joe’s work has stolen him from me today while they make their big move to a brand new office. Whenever I have free time to myself I am initially giddy and I’m not sure why. It’s not like I’m doing anything I can’t do when Joe isn’t around. Plus after awhile I start thinking how it would be if I didn’t have Joe and then I get lonely and miss him. I’m well past that point right now so I’m feeling a little down.

So what have I done with my day of freedom? Not much on the surface, but I have been productive. When I woke up around 8:45 am, I started a load of laundry and put away the dishes. Then I backed up all my MP3s to DVDs, showered, and had lunch while doing even more loads of laundry.

Right now I just finished making labels for the DVDs and I plan to balance the checkbook.

Once Joe gets home I will probably be crazy from being inside all day and will want to go out to dinner. We didn’t end up going out anywhere nice on Valentine’s Day like we had planned because both of us were having stomach issues. We almost went to Red Lobster last night but it was too crowded. I’m guessing tonight will be the same so we’ll probably grab something quicker.

I still need to dust and mop but I might leave that for tomorrow. I am exhausted from spending all this time in front of the computer.
