I was just browsing all the Wii games on Amazon.com and I definitely want to get this trivia game next. It looks like a ton of fun!

Obsessed with video games
The kids couldn’t get enough of the video games today. If they weren’t playing the Wii, they wanted to play the PS2, GameCube, or Nintendo 64 (those are just the ones actually hooked up; we own way too many gaming consoles). The boy is particularly addicted. After we told the kids we were done with the video games for the night, he kept asking, “Can I play [insert system name here]?” Apparently five hours of the Wii wasn’t enough. ;) Although at least with the Wii they were moving around. It’s probably the most exercise we’ve all gotten in a week. :)
We played between 5-8 games of Pictionary Jr. (I ended up ordering it from Amazon.com since none of the local stores were carrying it anymore) after we took a Wii break because the kids really liked it. We also fit a little Easter egg hunt into the mix. To say the day was full would be an understatement.
FIL #14
In case you hadn’t already heard, 24 will be returning in the Fall for a tv “movie” which is designed to bridge the two year gap between Season 6 and the upcoming Season 7. It’s been too long without Bauer!
Don’t you hate it when someone recommends a book to read and it sounds really good, but it also sounds familiar? I can’t remember if I read The Perfect Husband before because I have read other Lisa Gardener novels. I worry I’m going to get it from the library and read half of it before it dawns on me I already know how it ends. I hate wasting time like that.
Speaking of… do not, I repeat, do not bother renting, or watching on cable, Running With Scissors. I really have to hate a movie to shut it off before it’s over, but that’s exactly what I did with this horribly stupid and boring movie.
Holy crap, what a way to kill yourself. Couldn’t he have just run the car until he suffocated from the carbon monoxide? Sheesh.
Some of my faves from Cute Overload recently:
Peep Show
Victory for the praying mantis
Robert Smith Mii
I’m trying to create a Mii of Robert Smith and I can’t quite decide on which one I like best. Opinions from any Cure fans out there?

Oh yea, and I ended up getting this CD the other day. I couldn’t resist! I haven’t listened to it yet. Probably one night while I fall asleep. :)
Awww yeah
Look what Wii got today. Heehee!

I guess our patience finally paid off. We’re not the type to stand outside waiting in line, so we figured we’d eventually just happen to come across a Wii in stock and that’s exactly what happened today. While eating breakfast this morning we saw it advertised in Target’s ad but mused it was already sold out by then since it was 9:30 am and they had been open an hour and a half. I mean just last week we passed by Toys R Us and a shitload of people were outside waiting because they had the Wii in stock, so why think any differently with Target?
We hit Petsmart first for some bedding for Oreo and then the mall to look for drapes. We finally found some at JCPenney for a ridiculously low price and I am very happy that we’ll finally be able to block out the light at night. I also checked New York & Company for some clothes but didn’t find anything I liked. I love that store but it’s hit and miss like everywhere else.
When we finally made it to Target it was past noon, and as we rounded the corner and the electronics department came into view, I noticed the “out of stock” sign for the Wii wasn’t up like I expected. Then we saw the boxes and Joe asks, “should we get one?” I was still mentally debating if I wanted to spend the money when he goes, “we are definitely getting one”. So we did. I asked the kid at the counter if there was any games he recommended, so that’s how we ended up with Game Party. It looks cute and was only $20, so why not? And everyone needs Wii Play because it’s fun, plus you get an extra controller.
Joe is hooking everything up now to the plasma. I don’t think it should screw up the tv since a lot of people seem to be playing it on plasmas.
Wii are going to have a very fun afternoon!
Ok, I’m finished with the word play now.
