First piece finally done

I did it! I finally completed Joe’s necklace and it came out nice except I’m a little worried that the crimp beads I got are crappy. They seem flimsy and I’m worried they will break since the hematite is pretty heavy and I broke one of them just trying to finish the necklace. I want to purchase better crimp beads but I have no idea what I need. There is so much to choose from. I’m leaning toward sterling silver for the finish but I still have no idea if I should get round or tube shaped and how thick they should be.

Also, I have no idea what type of beading wire I need, but I’m guessing this would work out ok since other than the hematite, so far I’m using very small glass beads so my necklaces and bracelets won’t be very heavy and warrant stronger thread.

If anyone has tips, please share because I need all the help I can get.

  1. That’s a lot of hematite. Geez. I figured you were putting on a rock or two or three. Not a whole string of them.

    It does look nice though.
