Home Sweet Home

It is soooo good to be home. To be truthful, we got home at 3 o’clock this afternoon, but not too long after, my brother called because his computer wasn’t working. So after spending 8 hours in the car, we had to jump back in and spend another hour driving down to the southside of Chicago. Luckily, Joe was able to get the machine working with minimal effort, and we were given $20 for our trouble. On the way home, we got it in our heads to pick up some beef sandwiches from Portillo’s, but after stopping at three different restaurants which were all closed, realized it just wasn’t meant to be. I got McDonald’s instead, and Joe decided to forgo the fast food altogether.

Now I’m totally exhausted, so the details of the trip and pictures will have to wait. Thank god tomorrow is a holiday. Here’s a quick run-down of what I thought about the various attractions we visited (links to follow in tomorrow’s entry).

St. Louis Arch = worth it
Ripley’s Believe It Or Not Museum = soooo NOT worth it
The Butterfly Place = totally worth it
World’s Largest Toy Museum = not worth it if you’re under 60 years old
Horse-drawn Carriage Ride Through Downtown Branson = worth it
Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, MO = only worth it if you’ve never been to a major metropolitan zoo or aquarium, otherwise it sucks
Battlefield Mall in Springfield, MO = worth it if you get two great new bras from Dillards. Haha, I’ll explain later.

Goodnight!
