Red dye #5 is evil

Ok, this whole Crystal Light in a non-disposable bottle thing was a bad idea. I spilled fruit punch on my shirt at work today and I couldn’t get the stain out when I tried in the bathroom. So I had to zip my sweater all the way up to cover it since it was front and center. I ran out to Target to buy a shirt and some stain remover. I looked like an idiot and felt like I was melting because at 10:30 am it was already 87 degrees! Plus I ended up spending $85 because their selection of shirts is better than the Target by me. Not sure if I’m going to keep every shirt I bought, but I prefer taking them home to try on again. Plus I get to model them for Joe. I did that two weeks ago and ended up returning two of the three shirts I bought, but the one I did keep became my new favorite shirt. Of course they don’t carry that style anymore. Figures!

While we’re on the subject of clothes, I feel I should give everyone an update on my weight since I’ve lost some. Not a ton, but I’m down 10 lbs. since Spring. I was actually 5 lbs. lighter this time last year, so it’s not great, and I still have 15 lbs. to go to reach my desired weight, but it’s a good start. We’ve been walking a mile and a half every evening, so that’s been my primary exercise lately. I think we’re going to try and get the bikes out but it’s so hard because it’s really hot again and it’s still 85 when it’s getting dark out.

Update: Ok, so three of the six shirts I bought are going back to the store. Not too bad.

  1. For the bike situation – I recommend early morning rides on the weekends. Doesn’t have to be super early, but early enough that it’s not hot out yet.
