So I ordered a camera today … and it’s not a Canon. I got this. Now before you ask what I’m thinking, let me explain.
Joe and I were talking the other day and he was saying how he wouldn’t care if I bought the Canon 10D right now. But then I was thinking … there’s not much to photograph during the Winter in Chicago, so why get something that powerful and not be able to really test it? So I decided to wait until just before Spring to buy it. Hopefully by then either Canon will have released something even better, or the price will have done down.
I’m surprised how antsy Joe is to get his hands on my Nikon 5700, but I think it’s awesome. I know it’s the true reason he sees nothing of dropping $1500+ for another camera. He’s tired of the 885 and who can blame him?
Oh and the reason I got the low-end Nikon – I’ve been wanting a camera I can carry around all the time and not worry about. Something small and relatively cheap that I wouldn’t die over if it was lost or damaged. After seeing the Coolpix 2100 at Target and realizing how tiny it was, I had to have it. So I ordered it today, along with the battery/charger/camera case kit. My grand total, including shipping, was only $207. Sweet.
And to those that suggested the Canon Rebel … thanks but no thanks. I’m definitely getting the 10D or it’s predecessor. After reading the reviews and seeing sample photos, nothing else can compare.
