Well the Christmas stuff is officially packed away. Actually, Joe got a little antsy and suggested I do it while the kids were here yesterday so we did. It feels much less cluttered in here now. Frankly, I am ready for Spring, but then again, it’s my favorite season so that’s no surprise.
This morning after dropping off the kids we did some after Christmas shopping. Target had their Valentine’s Day decorations out already so I got a cute tablecloth. I now have a tablecloth for just about every holiday/season. I’ve got a general summery one, two Halloween ones, a Fall one, a Winter one with snowmen on it, and now the Valentine’s Day one. I am such a goof, I know.
I also got a few discounted Christmas things (tissue paper, cards, stockings, etc.) including a very cute candle set that will be someone’s gift next year. It was such a steal and it’s so cute! Candles never go out of style and it’s nice to have something on hand in a pinch.
We also got a nice suitcase and luggage tags. Believe it or not we didn’t own one – we just threw our stuff in various bookbags. I can’t believe all the places we’ve visited in the three years we’ve been together. It’s really cool how much stuff we experience – it keeps our relationship fun and interesting (not that it needed any help, of course, but I think you get what I’m saying).
So that has been our day. We got home around 11 am and have been putzing around ever since.
should have told you before that friday everything goes to 75% clearance lol
By then I doubt there will be much left – most of the good stuff was picked over as it was – except for candy which I don’t particularly care for anyway. It’s not like you can buy it now and give it to someone next year …. although to be honest I think that’s what my grandparents on my dad’s side of the family used to do … which explains why the stuff tasted so stale.
lmao your so right. we have so much still left in the decorations/orniment stuff. hopefully when it hits 75 it wil all go.
