Would you like some cheese …

… with your wine? ;)

We did a little grocery shopping today and got some cheese, crackers, and wine for New Year’s Eve. Being a complete wine virgin, God only knows if this stuff we got will be any good. I’m not big on alcoholic beverages, so most likely I will hate it, but I thought it would be nice with the cheese since it said so on the bottle (it’s red, that’s all I know). We also got some shrimp cocktail – I love that stuff! And the fat per serving is awesome! It’s like .5 grams of fat for every 7 shrimp and that includes the cocktail sauce. Maybe I should start a shrimp only diet! ;)

(“The word you’re looking for is ‘Anyway …'”)

We also got the fixings for this dish that we saw on the Food Network and let me tell you, it is good! We made a little cheesy bread by brushing some olive oil on french bread, sprinkling with parmesan cheese and baking in the toaster oven. Pure heaven!

And now I must go work some of that off. I am not quite sure how I managed to lose a pound after eating ham and cheesy broccoli/cauliflower casserole for three days straight, but I’m not arguing!

Oh yea, and I’m on Disc 2, episode #9 of Season 1 of Friends. A nice 45 minute workout gives me two complete episodes, so I should be close to Disc 3 by tonight. I already went through all the trivia games on all the discs and I must say, I am one Friends expert. Call it an obsession I guess. Although now that I’m watching all the episodes in order I’ve noticed some discrepancies already. My biggest gripe, however, has always been how Monica claims to be allergic to cats when in two different episodes she’s near a cat and never shows an aversion to them (the two being when Phoebe thinks her dead mom has come back as a cat and when Rachel buys that hairless cat … because it’s the dander, not the fur, that causes allergic reactions, remember!)
