Cursed

We went looking at some more townhomes tonight and we found THE PLACE. It’s even better than the last two places we looked at. It is on a cul-de-sac in a very nice, very quiet neighborhood. Built in 1994, it is absolutely gorgeous – 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and tons of closet space. We fell in love with the master suite with the vaulted ceilings and private bath.

As we were walking through it for a second time, talking about putting in an offer, the listing agent called our agent to let us know the sellers just signed a contract with a buyer and that it was no longer available.

I’d just like to know when this string of bad luck is going to end. I mean, what the hell do we have to do to actually buy a home?!!? Originally I was worried we wouldn’t find anything we liked in our price range, but no, that’s not the issue. We just can’t get anyone to sell us their place. The real estate Gods must HATE us.

They say things happen for a reason, but they never said what the reason is. I gotta tell you, after this, I’m not sure what to think.

On our way home we stopped to grab some dinner from Boston Market and right after putting together our food, they ran out of white meat. If someone up there thinks that even comes close to making up for this house thing, they’ve got another thing coming.

P.S. The agent for the sellers of the last home we walked away from called our agent to see if we were still interested if they came down another $1000 in price. Uh, no thank you. Our agent told them we’re through with them. That’s what they get for being greedy. I hope their place sells for less than what we were willing to pay.
