Yesterday I decided to let Doug run around on the bed with Milo and Gizmo to see what would happen. No fights broke out, but Milo was not too thrilled. He’s a bit of a wimp and would start squeaking whenever Doug came near him even though he wasn’t touching him. Then when I gave all the boys a treat, Milo was too on edge to eat his. He just sat crammed in a Kleenex box with the treat in his mouth.
He did eventually calm down enough to actually eat his treat.
Doug kept following Gizmo around, trying to challenge him a bit (when they get up on their back legs and stand nose-to-nose) but that was as aggressive as it got.
After a few minutes, I sat down on the bed and both Milo and Gizmo immediately jumped onto my lap and hunkered down as if to say, “protect us from this new rat, mommy”. LOL! They don’t usually behave that way, so I can only assume they found some sort of comfort being by me since as soon as I removed Doug they both hopped off my lap and started running around the bed like usual. Silly boys!
It’s good to know that Doug can get along with those two in case Steve passes away first. Knowing my luck, though, Steve will live the longest because he’s such an ass!
Oh, and I completely forget that yesterday was Doug and Steve’s birthday (they turned 1) until I got a text from the guy I adopted them from. Too funny.
